What is 2100 military time

With the rise of digital clocks, many people are unfamiliar with military time and how it differs from regular time. Military time is used in the armed forces and other uniforms services to precisely measure and communicate exact time intervals. It is a standard 24-hour system which eliminates any ambiguity associated with the 12-hour clock system used in civilian life.

Military time begins at 0000 (spoken as "zero hundred hours" or "midnight") and ends at 2359 (spoken as "twenty-three fifty-nine hours" or "one minute before midnight"). 2100 military time would therefore be considered 9:00 PM, as expressed with regular time.

Military time makes it easier for everyone in the same profession or profession to understand each other's schedule quickly and reliably without having to recite the hour of a day verbally. The use of military time also eliminates any confusion that could arise between an AM and PM setting. With just two numbers, everybody knows whether they're talking about 4:00 AM or PM.

To convert regular time into their military counterparts, simply subtract 12 hours until you reach an hour between 00 and 11, then add "hours" after each number. For example - 1:00 AM becomes 0100 (zero one hundred) hours while 6:00 PM becomes 1800 (eighteen hundred) hours and so on.
